This inspection was conducted by DWR staff member Jim Gonsiewski. Mr. Alex Fox of Synagro was present during this inspection. The inspection reflects compliance with the permit. Two tankers(6,200-gallon tankers, Numbers 53-471 and 53-566 transporting residuals from the WWTP to the land application Site (NC-YK-33-02). . A rain guage was observed in the field. A sign was visible on the fence. The terrain was slightly hilly with the slopes ranging from 2% to 6%. The solids content in the residuals was 1.58%. The field was properly flagged. No runoff or ponding of residuals from previous spreading was observed. One 4,200 gallon truck spreader (Number 520231) was applying residuals. The O&M plan and the permit were present. The O&M plan was adequate. Each truck and tanker had an O&M plan and maps. The residual spreading was good. No additional run off or ponding was observed. Proper buffers were maintained. Observed transfer of residuals from tankers to the spreader truck. No problems noted. At WWTP observed loading of from the 250,000 gallon sludge tank. No spillage or staining of the asphalt or tracking of residuals out of the WWTP observed.
