Dear Landon,

This letter is in response to your 12-18-17 letter to Laurel Mountain Retreat attached.

The NOV was for BOD limit violations for September 2016 with a 42.2 mg/L result on
9-20-16 that exceeded the daily limit of 15mg/L and monthly limit of 10 mg/L. Our
explanation on the monitoring report stated we were unsure why the BOD was high that
month. As a result we cleaned the influent filter, turbidity meter, and flushed the UV
system. The effluent was very clear.
