Attached is a photo of all 23 planted. I took it from a different angle since it is hard to see all 23 from one viewpoint. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. We have dug 23 holes, and planted 22 trees. The 23rd tree was left off the first truck and we are getting it today. I will send you an update when the last tree is in. Send all suspicious email as an attachment .Camknc.gov Hello Mr. Perez, This is to update you on our progress to date on our project, and to ask a timing request. 1. The first two photos show our yard before any of the work was started. They are the "before" photos. 2. The second photos show our yard after a) the buried pipeline (from the driveway) was completed, with the flared -end diffuser exiting in the riprap in the buffer zone (photo "RipRap01 "), and b) the continuation of the riprap along the matching portion of shoreline. (This is the shoreline stabilization portion permitted with Duke — starting at the right property line and extending approx. 25' to the small pine tree — photo "RipRap02"). 3. We have had a surveyor mark the 30' zone so that we can accurately plant the 23 trees into the buffer. We are now ready to plant the trees. 4. However, due to the delays (multiple rain and waiting for Duke permit approval) in completing the mentioned pipeline installation and shoreline stabilization projects, our tree procurement time has ended up during the period when no nurseries are digging trees. The landscaper that we have been working with has been scouring nurseries and tree farms to come up with 23 trees in the needed size and NC native species. They have found the soonest availability to be with Fitzgerald Nursery in Morganton, NC. We just learned that they don't recommend digging until mid -October to ensure that the dug trees will survive. We are getting a quote from them and can provide you with the dig quote showing the proposed date. So our request to you is an extension of the deadline for planting the trees, until the end of October, to allow for the procurement and planting of quality trees.
