In addition to proposed improvements to the existing Bessemer City Water
Plant, the City is proposing to replace the existing rawwater intake located
on Arrowood Reservoir. Proposed project plans call for the replacement of
the raw water intake along with the addition of a wet well, two (2) 1000 GPM
vertical turbine pumps with 75 HP motors, all related valves and piping, and
associated electrical components.
We anticipate that the proposed improvements will result in minimal
temporary and permanent open water impacts to Arrowood Reservoir. No
jurisdictional streams or wetlands were found within the proposed project
area.
