Subject: EEP closeouts
Went to the Cato site and Potts Creek site. Pretty much agreed with closing out. If Todd Tugwell submits a report, I
concur with his observations. Along the stream channels, pretty much stable and good vegetative growth (including
trees). Once you get 10 ft from the channel mostly grasses (at Cato) and briars (at Potts). There were observable trees
at both sites, just not as thick or as tall. At Potts Creek there were concerns about the lack of pools. This is a sand bed
system. And the general statement was the stream was just moving a lot of sand. More tree debris might have help
create more scour. This is a pretty clean stream from the debris standpoint.
