The Wilmington District, Corps of Engineers has received a biological assessment from North Carolina
Department of Transportation, Division 9 to replace Bridge No. 8 on NC 704 in Stokes County, North
Carolina. Please see the attached biological assessment for a more detailed depiction of the proposed
work.
County (waterbody): Stokes County (Dan River)
Project Location: 36.514476, -80.303115
Species: James spinymussel
The Corps hereby initiates formal consultation under Section 7 of the ESA and will not make a permit
decision until the consultation process is complete.
