Send all suspicious email as an attachment to ELort.spam@nc.gov Olivia, Thank you for your feedback on the Griffith Lakes Phase I PCN submittal. The open area north of Griffith Parkway is earmarked for a future commercial area that will be developed by others, as illustrated on the attached concept sheet from the City zoning plans. After conferring with the project engineers - the answer regarding the forking of the parkway at WT Harris is twofold. First, the suggested forking would not be allowed by NCDOT as it would not allow sufficient separation from the WTHarris intersection for required traffic queuing, creating unmanageable and unsafe conditions. Second, that forking would result in impacts to several other other streams and wetlands located east of the currently proposed pkwy. Please let me know if this does not address your concerns, or if you have any other questions regarding the project. Thanks, Daniel On Mon, Nov 9, 2020 at 7:05 PM Munzer, Olivia <olivia.munzerkncwildlife.org> wrote: Good evening Daniel, I wanted to ask about the development plans for the Griffith Lakes Phase L I have concerns for the amount of impacts the development will have on the UT to Mallard Creek. It seems like the impacts could be minimized. The Site Plan shows impacts on the east side of creek, but I was curious why that portion isn't moved to the open area north of Griffith Lake Parkway (circled in red). Or it seems like Griffith Lake Parkway could fork and connect to that development before it crosses the UT to the larger developed areas (circled in yellow). Thanks, :SET I LFa f << .
