Dear Vir. Webster:
We have received the draft Bank Parcel Development Package (BPDP) (dated May 2010) for the
proposed Rudolph Buffer/Nutrient Offset Site on May 26, 2010 for the above referenced site.
Overall the plan appears consistent with other plans that have been approved for nutrient offset'
and buffer mitigation. However, the following items need to be addressed:
1) Planting plan:
a. List the plant species that will be included in the proposed annual seed mix.
b. Approximately when will the initial planting occur?
c. Please note that for the purpose of monitoring, volunteer species not listed in your
planting plan such as loblolly pine and sweetgum can only be counted to a
maximum of 20% (each) of the total trees counting toward the target criterion of
320 stems per acre after 5 years of monitoring.
2) Vicinity Map - Provide a vicinity map that includes the nearest named town.
3) Conservation Easement Boundary - Provide clarification on how the conservation
easement boundary will be marked in the field (fenced, sign posts at x intervals, etc.).
4) Nutrient Offset/Buffer Ledgers - Please note that two separate ledgers must be kept, one
for nutrient offset credits and one for buffer credits.
