Dear Mr. Allen:
On April 21, 2020, I received a letter from your office dated 04-13-20, the subject of
which was a Notice of Deficiency. After that date, we addressed each deficiency separately and
now we are in complete compliance with our permit and that all items mentioned in your letter
have been resolved. We feel that we have taken the necessary specified corrective action.
In fact, we have an email in our file from Bill Dunlap, Environment Specialist, NC DEQ,
Department of Water Quality, addressed to Geno Kennedy of Agriment Services, who supervises
all matters at the farm relating to our permit, in which he says we do not need to respond to the
NOD.
Out of an abundance of caution, I am writing to document these matters and to explain
why we are not submitting a formal response.
