Notification Additional Wastewater Treatment System
With reference to the subject NPDES permit A (3), an additional physical chemical
treatment system is planned to be added to the current treatment system for NPDES
Outfall 002. The planned physical chemical treatment addition is scheduled to begin
commissioning in early November 2020. This additional treatment system is warranted
to support the dewatering of the ash basin. In addition to the current system, which has
sand filters and pH adjustment capabilities, the new wastewater treatment addition will
include a clarifier and has chemical treatment options as needed to ensure proper
-operation and enhance treatment. Additional filters will be added in the future that will
replace the current filters.
