B-5389 was underwater again (see photo below). Guess it was good that we visited it before the flood, as I'm sure it looks a little different now. z., , £1 Illi III - X " --..-•!..- --- -w, 11- *. The water levels even overtopped our rain gauge, and they are still searching for the porta-pottie (no joke...). It was another non-notification NWP#3/GC#4132, due to minimal impacts (only 17' permanent). The permit drawings and impact summary table are attached. More than happy to take you by it sometime. Speaking of 401/404 non-notification, I'm going to follow up with an email from our permit staff about the NW#3 vs NW#14 conversation that we started last week. i I'm sure we lost sediment at both sites, but there was nothing to retrieve, so I can't say how much was lost. From what I gather, there was probably more deposition from upstream sources at both sites than sediment lost from the site. Sounded like much of our rip rap at Caldwell #309 is now covered with upstream sediments. Maybe the hurricanes and heavy rain will slow down for the winter! Let me know if you need any additional information. Also,we'll be sure the event is noted in the NPDES reports.
