Avoidance and Minimization 1a. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing project. The project was designed to include a 100' minimum of outlet swale prior to releasing drainage into the 404 wetlands. This is a requirement from NCDENR. This requirement was satisfied by re-reouting street drainage into a single drainage swale centered in the subdivision. The drainage was then routed through a proposed 30" pipe just to the edge of the 404 wetlands. The only impact from this point on within the 404 wetlands will be the installation of the rip rap apron & fabric. 1 b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques. The work in the area in the swale downstream from the outfall will be done manually as to make any disturbance minimal and to maintain the natural characteristics of the existing swale. 2.
