Dear Mr. Swain:
On April 28, 2010 1 inspected the construction work on Bridge No. 51 on NCSR 1424 over Parks Creek in
Burke County. The inspection found the project to be in the final stages of construction and the project
appeared to be in good shape.
Please ensure that all sediment and erosion control structures are maintained and seeding and mulching are
performed as required to protect State surface waters. Also, please refer to the attached inspection report for
any specific items noted during the inspection.

Work is underway at the bridge construction site. Most of the work has been completed and the old bridge was
being removed on the date of inspection.
Project appeared to be in good condition.
