Mr. John Hennessy Mr. Charles Brown, P.E., PLS Mr. Teddy Greene, Right of Way Agent - Division 14 FHWA . l NOTICE OF A CITIZENS INFORMATIONAL WORKSHOP FOR THE PROPOSED CONNECTOR ROAD BETWEEN N.C. 107 AND N.C. 116 ON THE SOUTHWESTERN COMMUNITY COLLEGE CAMPUS TIP Project No. R-5000 Jackson County The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will hold a Citizens Informational Workshop on Thursday, May 20, 2010 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the Balsam Center on the Southwestern Community College - Jackson Campus, located at 447 College Drive, Sylva, 28779. NCDOT representatives will be available in an informal setting during the hours indicated above to answer questions and receive comments about the effect that the proposed project will have on the community. Interested citizens may attend at any time. Please note that there will be no formal presentation. NCDOT proposes to construct a new two lane facility from NC 107 to NC 116 onto the Southwestern Community College Campus. The purpose of the proposed project is to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion. The length of the project is 0.7 mile. Additional right of way will be rr„quired for this project.
