Project involves replacement of 16 aerial segments of an existing 48-inch
sewer along Richland Creek in an existing easement. Wetlands and
streams have been delineated by CDM Smith. It is currently anticipated that
only the sewer pipe will be replaced; the concrete pipe supports will remain
as is with only minor structural repairs. New manholes will be installed on
the sewer to facilitate access and repairs. It is expected that impacts to
streams and wetlands will be temporary. Few, if any, permanent impacts
are anticipated at this time. This assessment will be further refined with
development of design. It is anticipated that this project will meet conditions
of USACE Nationwide Permit program and corresponding DWR General
Certifications for WQC.
