The City of Durham is proposing a new sanitary sewer pump station and
approximately 2,600 linear feet of new sewer force main along Old Chapel
Hill Road in Durham North Carolina. The new pump station \&411 be installed
northeast of the Old Chapel Hill Road and Buchanan Drive intersection
near the existing pump station. The force main Wll continue east within the
North Carolina Department of Transportation right-of-way (ROW) of Old
Chapel Hill Road. The force main Wll tie into the existing manhole
immediately east of the transmission power line easement. Horizontal
direction drilling is proposed to avoid stream and wetland impacts. No
construction impacts are proposed along Buchanan Drive or north of the
existing pump station.
