Subject: Bare site
In a 6/29/01 memo from Domey (which was not mailed from DWQ until 7/27/01 and received on
7/31/01, not sure why the delay) concerning the Bare site in Ashe Co., one of the points was:
"Biological Monitoring: Since this site is not a Priority I restoration project, biological monitoring
will not be required. However, Dave Penrose would like to collect samples for his own
research and use the data to compare to Level l restoration projects."
We are hoping to begin this project In a few weeks, if we can ever get this DWQ approval Issue
worked out. If you wish to do monitoring it needs to be done soon. Let me know if you want to
collect pre-construction data. Thanks!
