In order to gain access to the property from South Roxboro St., one crossing of waters of the US is necessary. The stream parallels South Roxboro, making the impact unavoidable. The crossing has been designed to minimize the impact to the greated extent possible through the use of retaining walls on either side of the crossing. Original plans called for a span structure to be used at the crossing. The design plans were changed after discussions with Eric Alysmeyer during the original permit process, in order to minimize impact associated with shade and the potential for increased downstream sedimentation due to the loss of stream side vegetation. 1b.
