On July 8, 2003, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers informed the NC Division of Water Quality (DWQ) that
your application for an Individual 404 Permit to fill 2.95 acres of wetlands at the Cape Fear Industries site was
retired since you had not provided information required to complete your application package. Please note that
the DWQ also hereby withdraws your application for an Individual 401 Water Quality Certification since there will
be no Public Notice as required in 15 A NCAC 2H .0503.
If you decide to re-submit an application for this site, a new application package, including the application
fee, will be required. In that case, a mitigation plan that provides a minimum of a 1:1 restoration component in
accordance with 15A NCAC 2H .0506(h)(6) will be necessary. If you have any questions, please contact Ken
