Box 519 Taylorsville, North Carolina 28681 Dear Mr. Brinkley: Donald van der Vaart Secretary March 5, 2015 Subject: Notice of Violation — Effluent Limitation Tracking #: NOV-2015-LV-0103 Schneider Mills WWTP NPDES Permit No. NCO034860 Alexander County A review of the May 2014 self -monitoring report for the subject facility revealed a violation of the following parameter at Outfall 001: Date Parameter Reported Value Permit Limit 5/7/14 Dissolved oxygen 4.2 mg/L 5.0 mg/L (Daily minimum) Remedial actions, if not already implemented, should be taken to correct the noted any problems. If the violation is !of a continuing nature, not related to operation and/or maintenance problems, and you anticipate remedial construction activities, then you may wish to consider applying for a Special Order by Consent (SOC).
