I talked with Mark Brazil just now, he is the Wyndham coordinator, he had a lot of questions for me, I just gave him preliminary information on what I saw yesterday and some potential issues and told him I would follow up officially with an email. I asked him about the bridge, he said they didn't build it because they didn't need it, and I mentioned the creation of that walking path next to the road and how that may be an issue and I would be looking in to that further. He was unsure of what actually happened there (how much fill etc.) said there may have been a space next to the road that they utilized (not sure I remember that). I dug around in my old photos of the site and found a video of the area, I took a screenshot and put it in the attached doc along with a google earth clip and the picture I took yesterday. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to o nc. ov Hi Sue and David, I made it out to the site today to take a look, I am concerned with the location of some of the outlets as well as the number of outlets, there appeared to be at least one extra outlet to the creek. In addition, the plan I have shows the rip - rap outlet to stop outside of the 10ft vegetated strip, where as in the field it goes directly to the creek. Also, what are yalls thoughts on the walking bridge... my understanding was that it was going to be a true bridge (also shown on the plans that way), but I believe instead they filled in near that road on the down stream side. Am I crazy? Let me know what you guys think. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. Guys, please see attached photos from my site visit on Thurs last week. A couple concerns. My before photos clearly show that the very nice, round stone that is present throughout the entire channel now, was not there. I do not believe that we approved any sort of work on the stream itself as part of the 401/404 but they clearly reshaped it during grading (granted, resloping the banks was probably justified) and added a lot of the nice landscape stone seen throughout the rest of the golf course to the banks of the stream. Teresa, I don't know that the stormwater outlets match the plans that I have. At least I can't find a set of plans that show the stormwater outlet at the upper most point on the project and I didn't see any outlet at the bottom, but that could have been close enough to the road that I couldn't see it from where I was standing. I'd recommend that you consider following up to ensure that meets the variance conditions. Also, it was obvious that they have mowed the 10' buffer along the stream. I didn't re -read the application to see if we allowed that. I seem to think maybe we did allow a limited mowing schedule.... but it's probably worth keeping a close eye on it. Thoughts???
