Re: Gravity Sewer Extension Fast -Track Permit Application - Modification
Project: Saxon Place Apartments Private Sewer
Permit No. WQ0041880
Dear Mr. Hunkele,
The permit is being modified to reflect the changes due to the total length of the sewer having
increased more than 10% due to field conflicts, and an interference manhole that is deemed a
"high priority" line.
Enclosed please find a check in the amount of $480.00 (Norris Check No. 1700) for the
processing fee, copy of Permit WQ0041880 issued August 18, 2020, Fast Track Sewer Extension
Application with attachment, Sewer Narrative, one (1) 81/2x 11 color USGS Topographic Maps,
and as-builts (ledger size).
Please review this information for approval and contact us with any questions or comments you
may have. Thank you for your assistance on this project.
Sincerely,
NORRIS & TUNSTALL

SAXON PLACE
PUBLIC and PRIVATE SEWER
SEWER SYSTEM:
This public and private gravity system was designed to service the proposed apartment
complex known as Saxon Place, located at 3525 Lancelot Lane in Wilmington, NC. A
total of 37 LF (Public) of 8-inch sewer line, 265 LF (Private) of 6-inch sewer line and 196
LF of 8-inch sewer line was permitted to complete the system.
During construction there were numerous conflicts with existing underground utilities
that required field changes to be done for the sewer line to function.
The public system WQ0041879 was increased in total length of 8 inch gravity sewer
main to 45.52 feet. No other changes occurred.
The private system WQ0041880 was changed to eliminate all of the 6 inch line and
change the 8 inch length to 216.94 feet of 8 inch PVC and 20 feet of 8 inch DIP. An
interference manhole was also installed due to a conflict with a stormdrain. This will be
deemed "high priority' and is shown on the as -built drawings.
