Holley Snider Please give a brief project description below. Bayshore Nine, LLC is the owner of property located at 304, 306, and 308 Bayshore Drive in Cape Carteret. The riparian corridor of the property includes a portion of a highground basin with 3 existing docks and a boat ramp. The property owners desire to build a new dock extending into Bogue Sound, with five formalized boatslips and a platform. The proposed dock would connect to an existing concrete pier located south of the existing ramp. The proposed dock with boat slips has been located as far west as possible to avoid submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) based on a SAV survey conducted by Southern Environmental Group, Inc. (SEGi) on September 15, 2020 and remain within the one -quarter water body distance as required by CAMA. In order to avoid an additional closure of shellfishing waters the proposed boat slips have been located a minimum of 100' from existing boat slips (as determined by the Division of Marine Fisheries- Shellfish Sanitation & Recreational Water Quality Section) in the basin and located along an existing bulkhead within the basin.
