Project Flash involves construction of a new manufacturing facility south of
the existing Merck facility in the Treyburn Business Campus. The
manufacturing facility will include two buildings along with associated
parking lots, sidewalks/trails, stormwater control measures and utility
connections. A linear wetland separates the project area from the existing
facility requiring a road and a sanitary sewer crossing. A temporary power
line will be installed within the fill slope of the proposed road crossing until a
future distribution power line is planned and designed. Additional detail
regarding the future distribution power line is provided under the Future
Phases section below. The project will result in 0.098 acre of permanent
wetland loss, 0.087 acre of temporary wetland impacts that will be
permanently converted to herbaceous wetlands and 0.053 acre of
temporary wetland impacts.
