the stream that is on City of Raleigh property has sever erosion just
downstream of the culvert at Dixie Trail. The project requested by the
church was approved under the City of Raleigh drainage assistance
program. The stream is FEMA regulated and the repair has been designed
to obtain a no -rise in water surface elevations. In able to accomplish a no -
rise the bank will need to be constructed back to its original corridor and
will have to withstand the velocities produced by the upstream culvert.
Gabion baskets are proposed for this project.
