In accordance with the issued permit written notification is
required to the Division of Water Resources prior to the startup of
the new 6 MGD membrane drinking water plant. This is to identify when
the wastewater discharge will commence from the membrane concentrate
and filter backwash. This discharge is anticipated to begin during
mid October 2020 when both water treatment plants will be in
operation tandemly. We are expecting the transition to solely use the
new water treatment plant to be concluded in November 2020.
If you wish to discuss this matter further, please contact Mr.
Timothy Lawrence of the Environmental Affairs Department at (252)
