In response to your September 21, 2012 review comments enclosed please find the following information
submitted for your review and approval:
l ) One (1) original and one (1) copy of the Stormwater Management Permit Application Form.
2) One (1) original Infiltration Trench Supplement DA-1.
3) Two (2) copies of Details, Sheet C-6, revised 9-28-12.
In response to your review comments we offer the following:
1. The stormwater application Section IV.10 has been revised to show the information for drainage
areas 2A & 2B separately.
2. The infiltration trench supplement has been revised to correct the elevation of the trench bottom
to 24.25. The proposed dimensions of the trench are TW x TH.
3. The total proposed trench length is 1,563 If. The infiltration trench supplement has been revised
to reflect the total trench length to be installed. Utilizing this length, the volume provided in the
system is 14,598 cf as shown on the supplement form.
4. The top of weir elevation shown on the detail for CB 3 has been revised to 27.5 (See Sheet C-6).
The detail for the Exfiltration Pipe has also been revised to show the trench bottom, pipe invert
and trench top elevations.
Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions or require additional information to issue the storm

The Wilmington Regional Office received a Stormwater Management Permit Application
for The Sanctuary of Wilmington on September 17, 2012, A preliminary review of that
information has determined that the application is not complete. The following
information is needed to continue the stormwater review:
Drainage areas 2A and 2B are shown as one drainage area on the -
stormwater application Section IV.10 table. Please show both drainage
areas separately.
2. The infiltration trench supplement shows the trench width and height to be
7' and 3' respectively. The trench elevations show 25.25 fmsl for the
bottom elevation, 27.25fmsl storage elevation and 28.00 top elevation.
These elevations would make the effective storage area 7' x 2', thereby
reducing the storage volume. Please review and correct.
3. Using two 12" diameter perforated trench pipes, 1410 ft trench length, and
a trench width and height of 7' x T with a 40% void ratio the calculated
storage volume 13,173 cubic feet. The provided storage volume reported
on the infiltration trench supplement is 14,598 cf. Please review and
correct. Also please note that the required water quality volume is 14,190
cf so additional storage capacity may be necessary.
4. Catch basin #3 shows an overflow weir with an elevation of 29.0 fmsl on
the section detail. The plan view shows catch basin #3 to have a top
elevation of 28.0 fmis. Please review and make any necessary
corrections:
Please note that this request for additional information is in response to a partial,
preliminary review. The requested information should be received ,by this Office prior to
October 1, 2012, or the application will be returned as incomplete. The return of a
project will necessitate resubmiftal of all required items, including the application fee.

of this letter. The request must indicate the date by which you expect to submit the
required information. The Division is allowed 90 days from the receipt of a completed
application to issue the permit.
The construction of any impervious surfaces, other than a construction entrance under
an approved Sedimentation Erosion Control Plan, is a violation of NCGS 143-215.1 and
is subject to enforcement action pursuant to NCGS 143-215.6A.
Please reference the State assigned project number on all correspondence. Any
original documents that need to be revised have been sent to the engineer or agent. All
original documents must be returned or new originals must be provided. Copies are not
