MAINTENANCE PLM1 .. .
1. All erosion and sediment control practices will be checked
for stability and operation following every, nmaf=producing
rainfall but in no case less than once every week Any
needed repairs will be made immediately ro maintain all
practices as designed-
2. All construction entrances will be periodically topdressed
with an additional 2 incIllas of #4 stone to maintaan proper
depth. Any sediment that is tracked into the street will be
immediately removed.
3. Sediment will be removed from the sediment trap and block
and gravel Inlet protection device when storage capacity
has been approximately 50 % filled Gravel will be cleaned
or replace when the sediment pool no longer drains properly.
4. Sediment will be removed from behind the sediment fence
when it becomes 0.5 feet deep at the fences. The sediment
fence will be repaired as necessary to maintain a barrier.
S. The sediment basin will be cleaned out when the level of
sediment reaches 2.0 feet below the top of the riser,
Gravel will be cleaned or replacaed when the sediment pool
no longer drains properly.
B All seeded areas will be ferflltzed, reseeded as necessary,
and mulched according to specifications In the vegetative
plan to maintain a vigorous, dense vegetativle cover.

1. AFTER EVERY SIGNIFICANT RUNOFF PRODUCING RAINFALL EVENT AND AT LEAST MONTHLY:
A, INSPECT THE DETENTION BASIN SYSTEM FOR SEDIMENT ACCUMULATION, EROSION, TRASH ACCUMULATION, VEGETATED COVER, AND

B: CHECK AND CLEAR THE ORIFICE OF ANY OBSTRUCTIONS SUCH THAT DRAWDOWN OF THE TEMPORARY POOL OCCURS WITHIN 2 TO 5 DAYS AS
DESIGNED.
2. REPAIR ERODED AREAS IMMEDIATELY, RE -SEED AS NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN GOOD VEGETATIVE COVER, MOW VEGETATIVE COVER TO MAINTAIN

ORIGINAL DESIGN DEPTH. REMOVED SEDIMENT SHALL BE DISPOSED OF IN AN APPROPRIATE MANNER AND SHALL BE HANDLED IN A MANNER
THAT WILL NOT ADVERSELY IMPACT WATER QUALITY (I.E. STOCKPILING NEAR A WET DETENTION BASIN OR STREAM, ETC.)
THE MEASURWO DEVICE USED TO DETERMINE THE SEDIMENT ELEVATION SHALL BE SUCH THAT IT WILL GIVE; AN ACCURATE DEPTH READING AND

General Notes: Precast Catch Hasins
1. Precast concrete structures shall be in accordance
with NCDOT section 1077 for "precast concrete units"
of the most recent "Standards Specifications for Roads and
Structures" And ASTM--C--913 for 'Reinforced Concrete Water
and Wastewater Structures".
2. Concrete compressive strength shall be 4000 PSI Minimum and
shall meet the requirements as specified in NCDOT section '
1077.
3. Reinforcing steel shall be of deformed steel bars conforming to
the requirements of ASTM-A-615, grade 60, or welded wire
fabric conforming to the requirement of ASTM-A-82 or both.
FRAME & GRATE 4. Reinforcing steel design shall be according to C-890--78 for
N.C.D.O.T. STD. #840.16 H-20-44 Loading.
3 5. Steps required on structures over 42" deep shall be on steel
reinforced copolymer polypropylene plastic.
6. Section joints shalt be sealed with butyl rubber sealant or
g" NCDOT approved mortar at the option of the contractor.
7. Pipe connections shall be sealed with approved mortar. NCDOT
approved brick may be used in conjunction with mortar at the
contractors option.
= 8. Lift holes shall be located as required for handling and sealed
after installation with NCDOT approved mortar.
