The North Carolina Division of Water Resources conducted an inspection of the Tryon WWTP on
9/08/2020. This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the
conditions and limitations specified in NPDES WW Permit No. NC0021601. The findings and comments
noted during this inspection are provided in the enclosed copy of the inspection report entitled
"Compliance Inspection Report".

Mikal Willmer, with the Asheville Regional Office, conducted a bioassay compliance inspection of the
Town Tryon's WWTP. Samples were split on September 8 and 10 for use in a chronic Ceriodaphnia
dubia pass/fail toxicity test. The Town's samples were analyzed by ETS and will be reported as either
as pass/fail on the September DMR and submitted to our Aquatic Toxicology Branch as part of the
routine quarterly toxicity testing. DWRs samples were analyzed by our Aquatic Toxicology Laboratory in
Raleigh.
The sample analyzed by our laboratory resulted in a pass with 100% survival and a mean reproduction
of 28.8 neonates. Results indicate effluent would not be predicted to have a negative impact on water
quality.
