To: David Lekson From: Clement Riddle Date: June 3, 2008 Subject: Revision to the Annual Mitigation Report For 2007 7-Acre Wetland Creation As discussed on May 28, 2008 between Terry Hairston, Nucor and David Lekson, USACE, Clearwater Environmental Consultants is providing the following information to address two statements within the Annual Mitigation Report For 2007 7-Acre Wetland Creation. 1) Below is a revised Table 1 to be included with the "Annual Mitigation Report For 2007 7-Acre Wetland Creation" for the 7-acre created wetland at the Nucor Plate Mill. The original table 1, page 13, incorrectly state the success dates. Most of this increase is the result of multiple stems sprouting from the planted Nyssa aquatica. Following review by the USACE, Clearwater Environmental will record future tree counts so that multiple stems count as one plant instead of counting individual stems.
