Comment: 1. The small infiltration basin (DA-H) is still not drawn down. It needs to be checked again if dry weather continues. 2. The slopes of the pond and the infiltration basin have been planted with a clumping -type of grass that appears to be pampas grass. I concentrated on the small infiltration basin at the end of the private access drive for Lots M-11, M-12 and M-13 which back up to the marina. The non -functionality of this basin has been the sticking point holding up this transfer. This basin has still not drawn down. I'll try to keep an eye on it and get out there again if the dry weather continues into next week. I notice that someone has planted some kind of clumpy grass on the pond slopes and on the infiltration basin slopes, which looks like pampas grass. Please remember that clumping grasses are not allowed to be planted on the slopes of any SCM. If the HOA has done this without your consent, please advise the HOA that they can certainly have a row of that type of grass at the very top of the slope to hide the SCM from view, but the slope itself must be maintained in a non -clumping grass that provides erosion protection and which can be mowed. Clumping grasses can't really be mowed, and they tend to choke or shade out other grasses. The result is bare areas form between the clumps, which then start eroding. All the sediment washes into the SCM, and the slopes start sloughing and becoming unstable and dysfunctional. Then, in a year or two, we'll start getting complaints that the pond isn't being maintained. Thanks. I'll follow-up this email with an official inspection report. Linda Lewis, E.I.
