Reference the Department of the Army permit issued to you on May 21, 2009, for the Rocky
Mount Northern Connector, TIP R-2823, starting from SR 1604 (Hunter Hill Road) and ending
at US 301, in Nash County and your written request of June 11, 2009, for permit modification.
The permit modification requests are as follows:
Site I Sheets 7 & 8 Additional wetland impacts: 0.01 acre of fill; 0.02 acre of
mechanized clearing; 0.08 acre of hand clearing
Site 3 Sheets 1 1 & 12 Additional wetland impacts: 0.02 acre of fill; 0.04 acre of
hand clearing
Site 5 Sheets 14 & 15 Additional wetland impacts: 0.11 acre of hand clearing
Site 13 Sheets 43 & 44 Additional wetland impacts: 0.05 acre of fill
Reduced wetland impacts: 0.01 acre of mechanized clearing
Additional stream impacts: 13 linear feet
The permit is hereby modified to include the work as indicated above and shown on the
submitted plans. In summary, the final modified permanent impacts to jurisdictional areas of R-
2823 will total 6.4 acres of wetlands and 1,952 linear feet of streams. It is understood that all
conditions of the original permit remain applicable and that the expiration date is unchanged.
