Re: Rocky Mount High School, Bethlehem Road, Rocky Mount
Dear Ms. Karoly:
The City of Rocky Mount has reviewed and approved the stormwater management plan for the proposed
Rocky Mount High School as shown on the construction plans dated February 25, 2010. The City
operates a Certified Local Stormwater Program under Phase 11 NPDES Stormwater Program and is
commited to requiring on-site stormwater management measures, such as riparian buffers, bioretention
cells, constructed wetlands, and level spreaders, for any new development within our jurisdiction. All
development is also required to meet stringent water quality requirements in accordance with the City of
Rocky Mount's Land Development Code, the City of Rocky Mount's Stormwater Management
Program, the Tar-Pamlico River Basin Riparian Buffer Protection Rules, and the Tar-Pamlico Nutrient
Management requirements.
