This report is required under the provisions of the Clean Water Act of 1999, House Bill 1160 ratified on July 20, 1999. COLLECTION SYSTEM I. General Information Facility Name: Burgaw Collection System Responsible Entity: Town of Burgaw Person in Charge: Robert A. Moore, Public Works Director Applicable Permits: WQCS00150 II. System Description The collection system consists of approximately 24 miles of gravity sewer lines, 18 miles of force mains and 17 pump stations. All are stations are monitored by radio signal,24 hours per day,seven days per week. The Town of Burgaw currently monitors 3 SIU's(Significant Industrial Users) in it's Pretreatment Program. III. Performance The town cleaned and inspected over 27,900 ft. of lines. The Town did have a spill during Hurricane Isaias at our North Chubb Rd. pump station due to generator malfunction. The spill was approx. 650- 750 gallons. The State of North Carolina, Department of Environment and Natural Resources office in Wilmington NC was notified. IV. Notification This report will be published on the Town of Burgaw web site at www.townofburgawnc.gov. In addition,copies are available for review at the City Hall offices at 109 North Walker Street and the Public Utilities Department at 213 S. McRae Street in Burgaw. V. Certification I certify under penalty of law that this report is complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge. I further certify that this report will be made available to the users or customers of the named system and that those users have been notified of its availability. Robert A.
