Village at Rockfish Ph IV Storm Water Narrative
The site is currently undeveloped. The site is being developed as a single-family
residential subdivision. The existing site drains to generally to the wetlands and creek
along the north of the property. Some of the drainage near Tom Starling Road is moved
into the road ditch before it ultimately travels back to Rockfish Creek.
Storm water will sheet drain across the lots into the roadways and piped storm system.
The storm water will then be conveyed through an underground drainage system into
an on -site wet pond in the northwestern portion of the property. The pond will
discharge onto the hill below the pond and ultimately to Rockfish Creek. This wet pond
has been designed in accordance with the latest NCDEQ MDC Stormwater Design
Manual.
