(gBENDEL March 31, 2020 NCDEQ Division of Land Resources 610 East Center Avenue, Suite 300 Moorseville, NC 28115 Subject: Monthly Discharge Monitoring Report Submittal for 2020 Bendel Tank & Heat Exchanger, LLC 4823 N. Graham Street, Charlotte, Mecklenburg County Stormwater Permit COC Number NCG030234 Dear Division of Land Resources: 704.596.5112 office 866.596.5112 toll -free 704.597.5069 fax 4823 North Graham Street Charlotte, NC 28269 As required by the referenced Stormwater Permit Certificate of Coverage, please find enclosed an original and one copy of the monthly Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) for the referenced facility. These DMRs are being submitted as the following sample designated in the Tier III section of the permit: Year 2 - Period 1 As required in Tier III of the Stormwater Plan, Bendel will continue to monitor for all required parameters until such time as the site can demonstrate three consecutive samples that are below the benchmark value for all parameters in a Tier response. Based on the new general stormwater permit, this should be attainable for copper. Once attainment has been reached for copper, Bendel may seek a variance from the Department of Environmental Quality for zinc. Please call me at (704) 596-5112 if you have any questions or if you require any additional information. ND - Not Detected at or above adjusted reporting limit. TNTC - Too Numerous To Count J - Estimated concentration above the adjusted method detection limit and below the adjusted reporting limit. MDL -Adjusted Method Detection Limit. PQL - Practical Quantitation Limit. RL - Reporting Limit - The lowest concentration value that meets project requirements for quantitative data with known precision and bias for a specific analyte in a specific matrix. S - Surrogate 1,2-Diphenylhydrazine decomposes to and cannot be separated from Azobenzene using Method 8270. The result for each analyte is a combined concentration. Consistent with EPA guidelines, unrounded data are displayed and have been used to calculate % recovery and RPD values. SG - Silica Gel - Clean -Up U - Indicates the compound was analyzed for, but not detected. Acid preservation may not be appropriate for 2 Chloroethylvinyl ether. A separate vial preserved to a pH of 4-5 is recommended in SW846 Chapter 4 for the analysis of Acrolein and Acrylonitrile by EPA Method 8260. N-Nitrosodiphenylamine decomposes and cannot be separated from Diphenylamine using Method 8270. The result reported for each analyte is a combined concentration. Pace Analytical is TNI accredited.
