Inspection Summary:
On September 9, 2020, the Dan River facility was inspected for compliance with the subject stormwater permit in addition to
techical assistance being provided to address Duke Energy's stormwater permit minor modification request dated July 30,
2020.
The compliance inspection revealed no deficiencies or compliance issues.
Stormwater outfall SWO02 was observed, and the proposed sampling location identified in the modification request was
located. At the time of inspection, the 48-inch RCP culvert under Edgewood Road was plugged. The proposed sampling
location was downstream of all industrial activity.
The future location of stormwater outfall SW010, at the downstream end of the culvert running under the landfill access road,
was also observed during the inspection. The culvert was plugged and appeared to drain the entire landfill area.
The updated drainage area map submitted with the July 30, 2020 modification request was consistent with the apparent
drainage areas on -site.
