Please give a brief project description below.
The Midtown project area encompasses approximately 10 acres and is
located along Railroad Street in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina within
Wake County. The proposed project is for a residential development
featuring 53 total townhome lots with associated parking, including on -
street and garage units. The proposed development will be connected to
public water and sewer utilities. Overhead electric utilities are currently
available for connection to the project area. Current preliminary site plans
anticipate 346 linear feet of stream impacts and 0.14 acres of wetland
impacts. Additional minor stream and wetland impacts may be required on
the western portion of the site per Planning Department greenway
requirements. Further, the feasibility of retaining walls is being investigated
to potentially reduce wetland impacts in some areas.
Preliminary consultation with the USACE has indicated the 300-ft
Nationwide Permit limit for stream impacts should be waived for this project
due to the low quality nature of the intermittent streams to be impacts.
NCSAM and NCWAM forms completed for the site are attached.
'Discussion via email or over the phone would be fine in lieu of a meeting if
preferred.*
