Piedmont Natural Gas is proposing to install an 8-inch diameter plastic
natural gas main in the City of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North
Carolina. The main will primarily be installed within the NCDOT-owned right-
of-way (R/W) of Tom Short Road, the CDOT R/W of Golf Links Drive, and a
proposed easement across private property. The project will include at
least one horizontal directional drill (HDD) beneath Flat Branch, Guinevere
Drive, and Coral Rose Road. The route across private property between
Golf Links Drive and Tom Short Road is still being negotiated. The project
may require pre -construction written approval under GC 4133 for
temporary stream/wetland impacts.
