The purpose of this project is to stabilize about 60 linear feet of Big Lost
Cove Creek where bank erosion is threatening an existing cabin.
Bioengineering and a boulder vane are proposed for stabilization
measures, as shown on the attached preliminary plans. The site is located
on the right bank of the creek at 2026 South Toe River Road in southern
Yancey County. The creek is classified as C, Trout and ORW and we
understand that written approval is required for ORW waters even though
the Corps has indicated no PCN is required.
