Pump flow rates to the dripfields shall be tested at least two (2) times per year by the following method: • Determine depth of water in pump tanks, by measuring difference in depth from top of riser to bottom of the tank, mimes depth to liquid surface. Determine depth of liquid in tank. • Run pumps from three (3) to five (5) minutes. • Re -measure depth of liquid in tanks and similarly determine gallons of water pumped based upon gallons/inch drawdown. Compute pump rate in gallons per minute from drawdown volume divided by pump run time. • Compare design/startup filter pumping rates to measured pumping rates. If necessary, make adjustments to the timer controls and pump on -off levels to deliver design dose volumes to filters and to drainfields each dosing cycle. 8. Drainfields shall be inspected at least monthly for seepage or saturation, surface water ponding or settled ground surface, broken pipes, maintenance of vegetation, protection from traffic, and diversion of surface water, The owner/operator shall be responsible for assuring any broken pipe, manifold tap, cleanouts, etc., are repaired within 48 hours of becoming aware of such a problem. 9.
