This inspection was conducted to determine whether the facility is being operated and maintained in compliance with General NPDES Permit NCG500000 under Certificate of Coverage NCG500188. Glenn Long, Duke Energy, was present and assisted in the inspection. All documents and data were reviewed for compliance before the inspection. A visual inspection of the sumps and turbines within facility was not requested due to Covid precautionary measures. The effluent location below the tailraces appeared to be free of sheen at the time of the inspection. The sumps are equipped with oil detection devices. The upstream and downstream locations appear to be adequate. Duke implements BMPs to prevent any release of oil and grease from the system. NCG500188 17 (Cont.)
