On September 14, 2020, staff of the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR), Water Quality
Regional Operations Section (WQROS), received the May 2020 sludge survey of your lagoon.
The results show you have a sludge ratio of 62%, therefore your lagoon sludge level is non-
compliant. Please work to reduce your sludge level below 50% by May 1, 2022.
Please send the Division Plan of Action for the non -compliant sludge level. Take all necessary
additional steps to ensure sludge levels remain in compliance with Section 3 of your permit.
