Inspection Summary:
Site visit conducted in response to submittal of Rescission Request Form by Lumberton Energy Holdings/Active Energy
Renwable Power (AERP) to rescind COC NCG170133, which was originally issued to Alamac Knit Fabrics/Alamac
American Knits for stormwater discharges associated with textile manufacturing. Facility was sold to AERP on March 21,
2019 and is currently operating as a sawmill for producing railroad ties, timber debarking for mulch, and log/mulch storage.A
wood pellet manufacturing operation is also scheduled to begin within several months. Based on the current and proposed
future industrial activities of processing and manufacturing wood products (SIC Code 2499), rescission of coverage under the
NCG170000 Stormwater General Permit is appropriate.
An NOI application for coverage under the NCG210000 Stormwater General Permit for Lumber and Wood Products was
submitted along with the rescission request and will be processed separately.
