Hey everyone,
I figured I'd go ahead and send you some of the permits that may be applicable to this project, so you
can review them as you're planning. RGP56 is for piers, docks, and boathouses and could be used for
the kayak launch. NWP13 is for bank stabilization, if necessary. RGP56 and NWP13 calculate impacts
below MHWM/OHWM, so for the kayak launch/beach area if you grade back away from the water
instead of filling in the water to create your slope, you'll reduce your impacts. NWP18 has a threshold of
0.1 acres, and impacts are calculated for the project as a whole. If the project exceeds the thresholds of
the general permits (NWPS and RGPs), you will have to pursue an Individual Permit (IP). Again, once we
know what kind of impacts are expected, we'll know the best course of action for the permitting
process.
Just keep us in the loop as the project planning progresses.
Sincerely,
Emily
