This office received the draft erosion and sedimentation control plan and the check/money order #
165412 in the amount of $ 455 for the plan review fee for the referenced project on August 21, 2020.
Your plan will be reviewed as soon as possible and you or your engineer will be advised if any additional
information is required to complete the review. By statute, this office has 30 days from the date of receipt
to either approve or disapprove the erosion control plan. The plan will be deemed approved if this office
fails to either approve or disapprove by the statutory deadline.
Be advised that any disturbed area over the 7.0 acres declared on the Financial Responsibility/Ownership
form will require an additional $65.00 per whole or fractional acre plan review fee. Also, be advised that
if this project is in a coastal county or in Wayne or Pitt Counties, a separate stormwater permit may also be
required from this Section.
Commencement or continuation of a land -disturbing activity under the jurisdiction of this Act prior to the
approval of an erosion and sediment control plan is a violation of the Act and subject to an initial and/or
daily civil penalty assessment of up to $5000. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me
