Conducted a site visit in response to submittal of Rescission Request Form. Permit coverage under the NCG020000
Stormwater General Permit for discharges associated with mining activities was originally issued on November 13, 2000 in
conjunction with a mining permit, which was required for the initial mining/excavation of the site prior to operation as an LCID
landfill. Site was released from their mining permit (43-34) on November 10, 2010. A copy of the mine release letter was
provided with the Rescission Request Form. Since mining activities ceased at this site many years ago, rescission of
coverage under the NCG020000 permit is appropriate.
LCID landfills are specifically excluded from coverage under the NCG120000 Stormwater General Permit for landfills. This
site is covered by an approved erosion and sedimentation control plan and corresponding NPDES NCG010000 Construction
Stormwater General Permit.
