Shane,
Regarding the subject NOI submittal, I spoke with the consultant, Renee Taylor, last week about the application and
proposed mine. The only item in question was that they marked No for question 40 about providing secondary
containment for bulk storage of liquid materials. Ms. Taylor relayed that the proposed mine would not have any onsite
ASTs, but N/A is not an option on the NOI. We may want to revise that and possibly other questions on the NOI to have
an N/A option.
Since this is a new/proposed mine site where operations have yet to begin, a site visit is not warranted and therefore no
TA inspection entry in BIMS. There is no objection to issuance of general permit coverage. If you have any questions or
need additional information, please contact me.
