Explain the purpose of the proposed project:* The purpose of this project is to stop the current erosion and prevent any further erosion and loss of land along the shoreline. 41. Describe the overall project in detail, including indirect impacts and the type of equipment to be used:* We will prep the shoreline (removing any fallen or undermined trees in the work area, install non -woven erosion control cloth to the bank and install Class B rip rap at a rate of .8 to 1 ton per linear foot. The outward slope of the rock structure will be a 2:1 slope and the stone will be tamped in place. There will be no impact to the area behind the shoreline because all the prep work and stone delivery will be conducted by barge. We will be using a mini -excavator, skid steer, and barge to complete the work. 4j. Please upload project drawings for the proposed project. LakelnvestmentGroupNC2 8.21.20.pdf 7.89KB 5. Comments: On average, there will be 8-10 cubic feet of stone per linear ft. of stabilization under the normal water level. This is based on a structure that will be .8- 1 ton per linear ff. of Class B Rip rap in water of 1' average depth. E. Impact Justification and Mitigation 1. Avoidance and Minimization 1a. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing the project: We plan to use just enough rip rap to stop the erosion and soil loss. The amount of stone will be minimized instead of using enough to cover the entire taller scars. 1b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques: By conducting all the work from the waterside, we will minimize the impact to the land directly behind the project area. 2. Compensatory Mitigation for Impacts to Waters of the U.S. or Waters of the State 2a. Does the project require Compensatory Mitigation for impacts to Waters of the U.S. or Waters of the State? r Yes r No 2b. If this project DOES NOT require Compensatory Mitigation, explain why: This project involves just shoreline stabilization work. F. Stormwater Management and Diffuse Flow Plan (required by DWR) 1.
