Hi Doug and Alan,
I just talked to Mark Lancaster (the contractor) about the boat house in order to answer your question. He
indicated that the scope of work has changed and now the homeowner has decided that the boat house and
ramp are going to remain. Do I need to send a revised sketch showing that they won't be removed? Also, the
engineering drawings for the new dock were an fyi inclusion in the packet. I understand that information does
go to Duke for their review and approval. I also discussed with Mark the height of the refresh and he stated that
there would be no area that goes above 2-3 feet above normal pond. Please let me know if you have any more
questions or concerns.

Hello Donna,
I'm emailing you today about the shoreline application at 1300 Roundstone Rd. The "deck" or new dock
appears to be out in the lake. That would be something that you would need to contact Duke and get their
approval of. The removal of the boat ramp and house is ok, however it will need to be turned into a natural
area. If that is indeed what is going on, please let us know. Is the boat ramp going into the boat house? The
banks look to be sloped, stable and fairly natural. I have included a picture. In it is a red line that depicts
where the rip rap should stop (-2-3 ft. above full pond). Typically, the docks are connected at full pond
elevation. Are you planning on going to the height of the old rip rap? I don't think that's necessary and I
believe that you should just let nature take its course here. If you could clarify these issues with either Alan
or myself, that would be most appreciated.
